Ambassador of Iraq visited School of Econmics and Business Sarajevo

On Tuesday 23.05.2017. Ambassador of Iraq visited School of Econmics and Business Sarajevo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

His excellency, ambassador of the Republic of Iraq dr. Kasim Asker Hassan visited the School of Econmics and Business Sarajevo, and met with the professor Velid Efendić. The meeting was aimed to establish good relationship and future cooperation between the School of Econmics and Business Sarajevo, Centre for Islamic Economics Banking and Finance, and Embassy of Iraq  for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

Dr Kasim Asker Hasan graduated in chemical technology from the University of Baghdad, followed by post graduate studies at the University of Zenica, Faculty of Metallurgy. In 1989 he received his Ph.D. from the University of Aachen, Germany, where he served as an assistant scientist. His professional posts in Germany include project engineer for Krupp-Polysius, network expert for STS Data systems, CAD and IT management consultant for Systaix and general director of Tam Tools.

Ambassador Hasan started his diplomatic career in 2009 as an Ambassador at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by the post of Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Hungary (2010-2013) and Head of Communications and Information Technology & Economic Department/MOFA Iraq (2013-2014). From 2014 to 2015 he served as Head of the Africa Department at the Iraqi MOFA. 

Currently he is the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina since 12.12.2015.

He speaks English, German, Turkish and BCS, and is a married father of four children.

The meeting was successful and conclusion is that the communication and future cooperation will be beneficial for the both institutions.
