FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS IN SARAJEVO Announcement and Call for Papers for the International Conference „Economic Development Perspectives of SEE Region in Global Recession Context” Aim and Scope of the Conference
In October 2010 School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo will organize its fifth International Conference (ICES2010) with the central theme „Economic Development Perspectives of SEE Region in Global Recession Context“. The First International Conference of Faculty of Economics Sarajevo, organized in 2002, was focused on transition process challenges in Central and Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 21 century. The Second International Conference in 2003 made a slight shift from transition to development issues focusing on economic, political and social implications of transition in the development and paid special attention to the preparations and adjustments that have to be done by European transition countries on their path to European integrations. The Third Conference, entitled “From Transition to Sustainable Development: the Path to European Integration”, was focused on perspectives and possibilities for EU integrations. Finally, the Fourth Conference in 2008 was focused on transitional challenges of EU Integration and Globalization. Fifth Conference has intention to encourage research in the field of regional economic development of SEE in the context of global recession. |
