ECONOMIC FORUM OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA 2024: SDGs, EU, WB Reform Agenda 2030 – From Confrontation to Cooperation

University of Sarajevo – School of Economics and Business is organizing the eighth Economic Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be held on March 19, 2024, starting at 10:00 am, at the Bosnian Institute - Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation in Sarajevo.

The focus of the Economic Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2024 is the role of Sustainable Development Goals as transformers of social change, with particular attention to the challenges facing the region and developing countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans.

The theme of this year's Economic Forum, "SDGs, EU, WB Reform Agenda 2030 – From Confrontation to Cooperation," will be presented through two sessions: ECONOMY (Session 1) and GREEN TRANSITION (Session 2).

The keynote speaker is Zlatko Lagumdžija, permanent representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN.

In the first panel on global challenges, speakers will be Jasmina Selimović, Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johann Sattler, Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative, Jasmin Mahmuzić, Director of the Banking Agency FBiH (FBA), and Hatidža Jahić, Professor at the University of Sarajevo – School of Economics and Business. The moderator of the first session is Mirza Kršo, Professor at the University of Sarajevo – School of Economics and Business.

Regarding the mobilization of green financing for reconstruction and accelerating progress in achieving sustainable development goals, speakers will include Ingrid Macdonald, UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Dilberović, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sanel Buljubašić, Acting General Director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH d.d. - Sarajevo, and Mirza Kušljugić, Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Tuzla. The moderator of the second session is Amina Mahmutović, President of the Management Board of UniCredit Bank.

The Economic Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2024 will be opened by Meliha Bašić, Dean of the University of Sarajevo – School of Economics and Business, Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Benjamina Karić, Mayor of Sarajevo.

Participation in the Economic Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2024 is open without payment of a registration fee but requires prior registration via email at: ekonomski.forum@efsa.unsa.ba

The Economic Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2024 is organized in collaboration with the Economic Institute Sarajevo, the Foundation of Common Values Society, the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC), the Network Solutions for Sustainable Development of the Western Balkans (WB SDSN), and the Bosnian Institute - Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation.
