Dean of the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo, prof. dr. Jasmina Selimović appointed governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina

It is with great pleasure that we inform the public that our dean, prof. dr. Jasmina Selimović appointed governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH).

The newly appointed Administrative Council of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) elected dr. Jasmina Selimović as Governor of the CBBH for a term of six years.

Dr. Jasmina Selimović was elected at the session of the Administrative Council of the CBBH, today, January 3, 2024, at which the newly appointed members of the Administrative Council of the CBBH, dr. Jasmina Selimović, dr. Mirza Kršo, dr. Danijela Martinović, dr. Radomir Božić and dr. Darko Tomaš officially took office.

Prof. dr. Jasmina Selimović is the first female governor of the CBBH.

Dr. Selimović is a full professor at the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo (SEBS), where she defended her doctoral dissertation in the field of finance and obtained the title of Doctor of Economic Sciences. Since 2012, she has held the position of Vice Dean for Teaching and Scientific Research, and since 2018 she has held the position of dean of the SEBS.

She is active in international organizations for the accreditation of business schools and universities, and is also engaged as an international expert for accreditation at quality agencies in EU countries. She is the author of several books and chapters in monographs of numerous scientific and professional articles published in internationally indexed journals, anthologies and professional journals.
