Information Session “Unlocking Opportunities in the Western Balkans: A Regional Dialogue on Advancing Business Education”

University of Sarajevo - School of Economics and Business, in cooperation with AACSB, is organizing an information session titled “Unlocking Opportunities in the Western Balkans: A Regional Dialogue on Advancing Business Education”, to be held on February 16, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in Sarajevo.

At a time of rapid development of higher education in the Western Balkans, this event will bring together leaders of higher education institutions to exchange experiences and engage in dialogue on strengthening the quality, regional relevance, and global visibility of economics and business education.

A special focus will be placed on the value of AACSB membership and accreditation, as well as on how these international standards can support the development of business schools in the region. Among the invited speakers is Prof. Dr. Eileen McAuliffe, a representative of AACSB, who will address current global trends in business education.

Participants will also have the opportunity to hear about the experience of the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo, on its journey toward AACSB accreditation, and to take part in discussions and regional networking.

Session topics include:

• The role of AACSB in institutional development
• The accreditation process and alignment of international standards with regional needs
• Experience sharing, dialogue, and regional networking

Representatives of all schools of economics and business from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region are welcome.
