Minister Mesihović: The School of Economics and Business holds special significance for the social community of the Sarajevo Canton

The University of Sarajevo - School of Economics and Business hosted the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, prof. dr. Adna Mesihović, and her closest associates. The Dean of the School, prof. dr. Meliha Bašić, acquainted the guests with the most significant achievements and the position of the School of Economics and Business in regional and international academic circles.

The importance of international accreditations held by the School was emphasized, as well as the commitment of the School's administration and staff to following contemporary global trends in economics in higher education, with a particular emphasis on innovation, digitalization, green economy, socially beneficial projects, collaboration with governmental and public sectors, business community, School's alumni, and numerous international institutions.

Dean Bašić expressed her satisfaction with Minister Mesihović's visit to the School.

"The collaboration between the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo and the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton is of great significance for advancing the educational system and economic prospects of the Canton. It allows for aligning educational programs with the needs of the labor market, providing students with relevant knowledge and skills. Additionally, it enables better support for research projects and innovations, contributing to the development of the local economy and competitiveness. Through this collaboration, the School and the Ministry work together to create a conducive environment for academic excellence and social progress," emphasized Dean Bašić.

Minister Mesihović and members of the School's administration discussed future activities and projects, as well as collaboration between these institutions. As part of the visit, the Minister toured the School's premises, emphasizing the importance of the School of Economics and Business for the social community of the Sarajevo Canton.
